Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting detainees by Reserve Deputies expedites the arrest process enabling the arresting officer to quickly return to duty .

Detainee Transport
Final disposition of a detained subject requires transportation to an intermediate destination such as the Magistrate's Court or to the Eastern Regional Jail. All detainees will again be searched by the Reserve Deputy prior to being transported.

Taser and Pepper Spray training
In separate courses of instruction Reserve Deputies are certified in the use of Tasers and Pepper Spray as part of the Academy curriculum. Certification is both classroom and practical and includes the trainee learning proper procedures as well as being tased and pepper sprayed Certification is mandatory prior to the Reserve Deputy being issued a taser and pepper spray.
